Happy Women’s Month…

Did you also know it’s Autoimmune Disease Awareness Month?!

As many of my clients know my mother was diagnosed with Lupus, as well as both of my sisters have auto-immune diseases (Graves Disease & Crohn’s Disease). Black women are disproportionately affected by autoimmune diseases compared to other demographics. Autoimmune diseases overall affect 8% of the U.S. population with women making up nearly 80% of those affected. Your health directly impacts your skin health and glow. I strongly encourage clients to eat healthier, exercise, talk to your doctor if you are experiencing symptoms of any kind and share your stories if you have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. You never know how you could help you fellow sister this month by just sharing your journey!
